The Procurement Officer will be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, ensuring it meets the highest quality standards. This includes liaising with both overseas and local suppliers, researching products, comparing quotes, and negotiating the best possible prices for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of procurement best practices, a sharp eye for detail, and exceptional negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with both local and international suppliers.
Ensure that all suppliers meet the required quality standards for products and services.
Conduct regular supplier evaluations to ensure they maintain our quality standards and adhere to contractual obligations.
Product Research
Continuously research and identify potential products that align with company and customer requirements.
Ensure product quality and performance standards are consistently met.
Quotation & Bidding
Obtain and compare quotes from various suppliers to ensure best prices and quality.
Evaluate and analyze the total cost of ownership for products, factoring in price, quality, durability, and other pertinent criteria.
Price Negotiation
Skillfully negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and prices for the company.
Continuously evaluate market trends and supplier prices to ensure competitive positioning.
Order Management
Oversee the entire order cycle, from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
Work with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely receipt and stocking of procured items.
Documentation & Compliance
Ensure all procurement documentation, such as purchase orders and supplier agreements, are accurately completed and maintained.
Adhere to company’s quality management principles in all procurement processes.
Stakeholder Communication
Collaborate with internal departments to forecast future product needs.
- Communicate any supplier or product issues to relevant stakeholders and suggest proactive solutions.
Continuous Improvement
Regularly review procurement processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement or a similar role.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Knowledge of international trade and customs regulations.
Fluent in English and Chinese; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
